Method

  1. 1Wash and finely chop a generous bunch of fresh coriander.
  2. 2Mix gram flour, coriander, sesame, green chilli, turmeric and salt.
  3. 3Add water gradually to form a thick, spoonable batter.
  4. 4Pour into a greased tin and steam for 15 minutes until set.
  5. 5Cool completely, then cut into thick diamonds or squares.
  6. 6Shallow-fry the pieces in oil until crisp and golden on both sides.
  7. 7Serve hot with green chutney.
