Method

  1. 1Mix rice flour with roasted gram flour, crushed peanuts and roasted gram.
  2. 2Add chopped curry leaves, chilli powder, asafoetida and salt.
  3. 3Rub in hot oil until crumbly.
  4. 4Add water little by little and knead into a firm dough.
  5. 5Pinch small balls and pat each into a thin round on a greased sheet.
  6. 6Prick with a fork to prevent puffing during frying.
  7. 7Heat oil and deep-fry on medium heat until golden and crisp.
  8. 8Drain well, cool completely and store airtight.
