Method

  1. 1Soak soya granules in hot water for 10 minutes, then squeeze out the water.
  2. 2Heat oil and temper cumin seeds until they splutter.
  3. 3Add chopped onion and fry until golden brown.
  4. 4Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook off the raw smell.
  5. 5Add tomato puree, turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala.
  6. 6Cook the masala until oil separates at the edges.
  7. 7Mix in the squeezed soya granules and green peas with a splash of water.
  8. 8Cover and simmer 10 minutes until thick, then finish with fresh coriander.
